I have been writing poems and short stories and personal essays since I was a young child, and I absolutely love playing with words. I believe in the importance of language.

I have published dozens of articles, essays, book reviews, and other texts in different publications in print and online.

Some of my academic work includes the following monographs: Are the Kids All Right? The Representation of LGBTQ Characters in Children’s and Young Adult Lit and Translating Expressive Language in Children’s Literature. I also edited and contributed to True North: Literary Translation in the Nordic Countries and Northern Lights: Translation in the Nordic Countries. And I co-edited Queer in Translation and International LGBTQ+ Literature for Children and Young Adults, the latter of which will be published later this year.

I have also published more than twenty peer-reviewed, academic articles, with more due to be published soon, and I am currently writing an academic-popular crossover book about the depiction of breastfeeding in literature for adults and children.

I’m happy to provide you with a list of my publications, upon request.
