Copy editor and Proofreader Editor I have been a professional editor since the mid-1990s. I have worked for many different publishing companies, publications, organisations, literary agencies, universities, individuals, and others. I primarily edit texts in English, but I do also work on Swedish texts, particularly Swedish translations of English works. I love paying close attention to detail and polishing a text, whether that involves clarifying confusing phrases, ensuring the style is consistent, analysing the vocabulary choices, fixing punctuation, or anything else.

I can produce a talk, workshop, article or seminar for your group on topics such as: the LGBTQ+ community and family planning supporting LGBTQ+ people through pregnancy, birth and/or the postpartum period LGBTQ+ lactation equality, diversity and inclusivity in birth and/or infant feeding breastfeeding/chestfeeding in literature for adults and/or children the pregnant and lactating body in art breastfeeding/chestfeeding with hyperemesis gravidarum breastfeeding/chestfeeding during fertility treatment supporting the Jewish community with breastfeeding/chestfeeding breastfeeding/chestfeeding and chronic illness or many other subjects related to birth and feeding. Breastfeeding help and support. Lactation Support I am a qualified International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and I also volunteer on the National Breastfeeding Helpline. I provide in-person or Zoom consultations for support with breastfeeding/chestfeeding. An initial in-person consultation costs £90 and takes approximately 60-90 minutes. You will receive written recommendations after the consultation and a follow-up telephone or video call of up to 30 minutes within a week. If you live outside Norwich, mileage is charged from my house at £0.15 per mile. Additional in-person consultations are £60. An online-only consultation costs £60 and takes approximately 30-60 minutes. You will receive written recommendations after the video call and a follow-up telephone call of up to 30 minutes within a week. The National Breastfeeding Helpline is free to call and is open 9.30 am to 9.30 pm every day of the year. The telephone number is 0300 100 0212.

Consultant and Speaker I have been a university lecturer since 2009, teaching courses on children’s literature, comics and graphic novels, literary translation, and queer literature. I am an experienced speaker who has given presentations, workshops, and seminars around the world, primarily on translation, writing, breastfeeding, culture, and literature. I have also frequently been interviewed on the radio and on TV programs about these topics. I can happily design a lecture or seminar for your school, university, or organisation according to your needs, and I can provide quotes or interviews for the media.
